You Need These 8 Beauty & Travel Items for Your Next Vacation and Here's Why

Now that most of us are (finally) back in the swing of things, a lot of us may be heading out on well-deserved vacations. As I've been planning a week-long trip to Mexico, I've stumbled upon some must-have beauty and travel accessories that I'm so excited about, and wanted to share the wealth of knowledge! All of these items will be game changers, especially for a trip to a tropical location.

1. Supergoop Long gone are the days where we go out in the sun with unprotected skin. Supergoop is a personal favorite sunscreen of mine. Not only can you get it in SPF 30 to 50, but it is also tinted to give your skin a nice glow. No one wants to wear makeup to sit out near the pool or on the beach, but with the tinted serum, you can have an even complexion while protecting your skin from the sun. Not to mention, I love the clean ingredients!

2. Travel Steamer

You will not catch me on vacation in wrinkly clothes, and I'm going to hold you to that same standard! That's why I LOVE my "Mighty Little Steamer." It's not as bulky as my full size steamer, but it is just as powerful. It's super lightweight and fits easily in a carry-on. I'm so happy my friend recommended this to me, because I'm not going on another vacation without it. Pro tip: grab a mini lint roller from the travel size product section at Target to have your clothes looking extra good.

3. Fanny Pack

I love cross body purses as much as the next gal, but the convenience of a cute fanny pack is unmatched. They're also significantly more secure than a purse that you often put behind your back. I love going through airport security with a fanny pack because I know my phone, wallet, and other necessities are right there - easily accessible to me and only me. Plus, fanny packs are very trendy right now, meaning they are making them cuter and cuter. I love the look of wearing them across your body as opposed to around your waist. This is also such a cute beach/adventure day look. I'll be sporting one all over on my next vacation.

4. Evian Facial Spray

I will not be hitting a beach or resort again without my Evian Facial Spray. There's nothing more refreshing then a burst of the facial spray when you're out in hot weather. Their travel size is perfect to put in your carry-on and to keep on hand at all times. Plus, you'll have major Meredith Blake from the "Parent Trap" vibes carrying around your Evian bottle - and who doesn't want that?!

5. Clear Toiletry Bag

There's nothing worse than putting all of your travel sized toiletries into a flimsy quart sized plastic baggy and having to pray it doesn't rip open in your carry-on. That's why I was so excited to find these TSA-approved clear toiletry bags! They are so sturdy and fit so much more than you would expect. They come in a pack of 3 in several colors and are a *steal*.

6. Packing Cubes

And on a similar note, packing cubes are a must-have. It took me longer than I care to admit to get on the packing cube train. It didn't make sense to me how they could be so helpful (I'm clearly not a scientist), but they truly save so much space. Not only do they compact clothes, they also help you organize your belongings. For example, as I'm packing for Mexico, I have a cube for swimsuits, one for cover-ups, one for nice clothes, and one for loungewear. Having items separated like this makes me feel more organized and I will be less stressed about clutter while I'm trying to relax on vacation (so I have more time to focus on tacos & margaritas)!

7. Sleep Mask with Built-in Headphones

I can't even explain how fast I purchased this sleep mask when I found out about it - I swear I almost crashed all of Amazon (okay, not really, but it was freaky fast). Unfortunately, I have always been an incredibly light sleeper. I can't fall asleep without a fan or some sort of white noise, and if I'm sleeping near someone who is even breathing too heavily, I'll be up all night. This sleep mask is incredible because it not only blocks out light, it also has bluetooth headphones attached. When I travel, instead of trying to lug around or find some sort of fan, I use Spotify to play white noise and listen to it either out loud or with headphones. Now I can have the white noise playing right in my ears and won't have to disturb anyone around me with the sound. If you can't tell, I am *very* excited about this purchase.

8. Mini Blow Dryer

Last, but certainly not least, is a travel sized blow dryer. If you're like me and have thick hair, you're likely not going anywhere without a blow dryer or the promise of a blow dryer at your destination. But, there aren't many things more bulky than a traditional hair dryer. That's why I opted for this powerful little guy by Conair. It had amazing reviews on Amazon and I'm so impressed by the power this little thing has. It even folds in half to make it more compact. I'll be traveling with this thing for years to come.

So there you have it! I'm sure we're all excited to get back out there and travel again, so I'm hopeful these products will make your next vacation even better.

Happy travels!
